With over 65 years of combined experience, our team of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals is knowledgeable, reliable, and passionate about empowering our clients.

Our advisors bring a diverse set of talents and strengths to work for you. We use a collaborative approach in caring for our client families, meeting weekly to discuss what’s happening in their lives and finding ways where our individual strengths can most benefit their unique situation. This way, our clients get the best of us all.

Larry Hanslits, CFP®

Larry has spent over half his life in this industry and developed a knack for explaining difficult money concepts simply. He’s often collaborating with business owners on retirement planning, business transition planning, and the challenges of leaving a career they love. It’s not uncommon for Larry to join a client as they meet with their estate planning attorney to brainstorm the best ways to meet their goals.

In addition to his work with clients, Larry speaks at collegiate and professional events for various organizations throughout the state and country. He serves on the Investment Policy Committee for The H Group, Inc., which provides strategies and guidance to the portfolio management team.

Married to his high school sweetheart, Laurie, the two of them enjoy cooking, trips to the Oregon coast, and golfing in their backyard at Illahe Hills Country Club. Their kids, Eric and Jenna, are living in Portland and Georgia, both pursuing successful careers.

Katie Martin

Katie came to us with over 10 years of experience in financial services. She has held roles in operations, as director for a CPA and wealth firm, and as an advisor with a national broker dealer. Katie’s background in education and client service prior to working in the industry has given her a unique approach to seeing what clients need and what may need to be communicated with more clarity. A big-picture person, Katie enjoys putting a plan together that looks at accumulation, retirement spend-down and legacy from an “all-of-life” perspective.

Marketing as well as community engagement and education are Katie’s focus, along with financial planning for the firm. Raised in the Willamette Valley, Katie has a strong commitment to seeing the city of Salem grow and thrive, from its youngest to its oldest inhabitants and those in every walk of life and from every background.

Katie enjoys coffee, karaoke or walking dates with friends, time spent with her two local brothers and their families and helping with church activities. When it is nice out, Katie has been known to enjoy a hike, trip to the beach or camping trip, especially if there is a view of a mountain. Music is also a big part of her life. Live, local bands – especially strings – are her favorite.
