Q2 Team Update
Eric and Amy went to Memphis, TN to support the Best Damn BBQ Sauce Team in the Memphis in May World Championship BBQ Competition. The Best Damn BBQ team represented the Pacific Northwest well by placing top 10 in Sauce & Turkey! It was fun, exciting, very competitive, and another box checked on Eric’s Bucket List!
Sarah and Peter are enjoying seeing more friends as things continue to open up and had fun exploring the Redmond area together for a long weekend during spring break. Sarah also went on a last-minute (for her) trip to Hawaii with a friend, during which she relished seeing the diverse natural beauty and eating delicious fresh seafood.
Katherine was a speaker at the May 2021 Women’s Worth workshop. The workshop focuses on preparing, educating, and empowering women about their financial and estate planning choices. In March, Quill and Katherine achieved their first goal of becoming a therapy team. Quill passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen Test and, as our community reopens, they are looking for opportunities to bring canine comfort to others.
With the pandemic waning and vaccinations increasing, Larry and Laurie are happy to be slowly getting back to their “normal” lives. Laurie recently took a golf trip to Las Vegas with friends from her women’s golf group and also played in a Pro-Am in Bend. Larry has scheduled a trip to actually see clients, in person, in Bend and is working on business trips to the Oregon coast as well as Seattle. He has also been able to get out for some golf.
Q2 Out & About
At this point in the pandemic, all members of our team have been vaccinated, and we are again holding meetings at our office. We continue to maintain thorough sanitation processes and will of course be accommodative to your comfort level and choice of in-person or virtual meetings. We sincerely appreciate your flexibility over the past year.
The past couple of months have finally brought some opportunities to be out and about. We were a sponsor for the Best Damn BBQ Sauce Team, who competed in the 2021 Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, a four-day competition held annually in Memphis. This was their first invitation, and they were the only team from the Pacific Northwest among the 138 teams. As you can read in his team update (left), our own Eric Tanikawa was able to attend.
Larry and Katherine are looking forward to hitting the road at the end of June to meet with clients in the Bend area. As it is safer to do so, we are all enjoying seeing you more around town and as you step into our office again.
