Remembering what it’s like to ‘get out on the open road’ and out of the house, Michelle took a sunny road trip to see her cousin in Utah at the end of July. She appreciated traveling through that beautiful and scenic part of the countryside!
Eric is continuing his backyard BBQ by grilling vegetables his wife, Amy, has grown. Yellow squash, zucchini, green beans, and soon, corn! Eric has been perfecting his techniques for the next BBQ competition in a few weeks.
Sarah and Peter traveled to Sarah’s home state of Minnesota to spend some socially-distanced time with family plus explore the North Shore of Lake Superior. Hiking has been the recent theme for them back home in Oregon as well, and after MN, has helped them not take for granted the beautiful mountains and coast!
After a month or two of quaratine-related lethargy, Brenna found inspiration to get moving again, hosting a virtual 5k fundraiser for the Oregon Food Bank, and participating in one for Willamette Valley Hospice. Hood to Coast and Spirit of Oregon have also gone virtual this year. She’s looking forward to hosting Women’s Worth virtually this fall.
Katherine’s highlights for this summer took place all in one week. First, she and Quill spent four days at Clear Lake, Oregon with her youngest son, his girlfriend, and their cat. Upon her return, she spent three days with her oldest son, daughter-in-law, and their puppy who were visiting from California. Nothing compares to family time.
Larry taught the Financial Foundations and Risk Management courses for Dev NW via Zoom last quarter. He reports that while they went well, it was very different teaching to a camera instead of a live audience. Laurie has been very productive on the golf course. She and her sister won the women’s member guest tournament and she also won her division in the club championship tournament.
