Once a quarter, we like to give a team update to let you know what’s going on in our lives both personally and professionally. Here’s what the second quarter of 2018 looked like for us.
Taking advantage of all the sunshine we have been experiencing, Michelle has been outdoors as much as possible. Visits from family and friends have kept her entertaining skills sharp. She looks forward to a wonderful summer, soaking in all that Oregon has to offer and as always, she looks forward to scheduling and seeing all of you, our fantastic clients!
About the time our last newsletter was being mailed, Katherine was in Portland to see the musical Hamilton that has her serenating everyone in the office regularly. Mother’s day found her in Bend celebrating the day with two amazing ladies – her 87 year old mom and 97 year old aunt. On the professional side, she and Brenna attended the Financial Planning Association’s NorCal conference in San Francisco. The two days were filled with excellent keynote speakers and quality breakout sessions.
Brenna was thrilled to again speak to a room full of amazing women this spring as one of two keynote speakers at Women’s Worth, an estate and financial planning seminar designed specifically for women. If you missed this one, stay tuned. We’re likely to do it again this fall. Shortly after the continuing education trip Katherine mentioned above, she flew with friends to New York City (her first time!). Just a week later, off to San Diego to meet up with her entire family to surprise Grandma for her 90th birthday celebration.
Larry and Laurie had a busy spring. They volunteered for the Boys & Girls Club of Salem, Marion, and Polk Counties annual fundraiser, the Cinco de Micro Brewfest. That’s us (along with some dear friends) pink clad in the picture above. In addition, they played golf in the Boys & Girls Club of Western Lane County annual fundraiser. In between these two fundraisers they took a trip to Minneapolis for their nephew’s wedding and Laurie attended a two day QuickBooks seminar. Between Portland and Florence, Larry made his way all over the state visiting clients. They both report that they are looking forward to a more leisurely summer.
